The Flow – Possible Look Book designs

Soon The Flow will be looking to attain some carefully selected stockist around the UK and Europe, most likely within the next month. We will be bringing back some old designs but with a bit of tweaking, as well as the last Autotelic range and some new designs, a whole new look book will be made up to showcase our pieces, our designs and our philosophy.

The Flow is a clothing brand, a design brand, a lifestyle brand and much more. Nothing is static. Hopefully a bit more about our philosophy can come out to you. We are slowly trying to do this through communication design.

Anyway, here is a little sneak peek at our look book progression. It might be a bit too distressed but either way was a lot of fun making these sheets up.

These are merely testers…. The images with the words over the top where from a book store owner Kano Kane found whilst traveling around Barcelona for a week, the bottom 3 images are printed onto a recycled card, nicely called ‘Hairy Manilla’. Yes that’s right.

One idea will be to stitch the look book together with a kind of jute strong. Not too sure how feasible this is

The Flow, our very own label has released the ITER and CONNECT on a limited run of tees, vests, sweats, hoods and wallets.

The release is part of the AUTOTELIC range, which is a 3 part series spread over one year. This is the 3rd and final Autotelic range.

Have to say we are more than please with how these have turned out. both on garment and on film. Particular attention has been paid to minute details such as shade, colour and fit of the garments. The tees are a boxy, long and loose cut. We like to roll the sleeves up, keep the body long, and keep the jeans skinny. But each to their own.

THE LOST HAND – ENTER DAIS BOUTIQUE

We have been quite busy at Dais this last few months. As well as running The Flow, Dais’s very own label (which by the way has a new range out February 5th), we have decided to set up another label, going by the name of The Lost Hand.

The Lost Hand is a simple concept. The idea being that we produce very limited runs of tees, sweats and prints from a variety of ‘found’ objects, prints, paintings, drawings, sketches… the lost goes on.. From our worldly travels.

This idea come about when store owner Kano Kane travelled to Barcelona over the new year of 2012 – 2013 and stumbled across 3 original japanese style screen prints of what appears to be some sort of comic or manga styled illustrations. The prints where found in a local street market in the Gracia area of Barcelona.

These where instantly snapped up at a price undisclosed and brought back to the UK.

2 weeks later, they arrived at Dais Boutique on a limited run of 30 tees per design!

The tees turned out great and so far the reception has been just as good from the supporters.

The tees are priced at £28 with postage.

The Flow – SYSTEM WALLET – Released finally.

The Flow, a Dais own label, finally releases their own wallet. The System Wallet, which is a beautifully hand crafted card and note holder. This is a unique looking piece and definitely one to get your hands on. Despite its relatively small looking size, this wallet can accommodate quite a bit.

We are so happy with how it has turned out! This wallet will last a lifetime given the right care and attention. There really isn’t a lot that can go wrong with this wallet. There are literally 3 pieces to it. The leather and the two metal press studs.

The front features a nice hand pressed Flow logo. About the only detail missing is the ‘made in England stamp which was not available until after new year. But this is no biggie and doesn’t actually change the fact that this wallet was handy made in London, England.

Dais Releases new label – SEA PEOPLE

We have decided to launch a new label, SEA PEOPLE, which for now will focus its every in producing high quality and well thought out bracelets and neck pieces.

All pieces will be made from semi-precious stones and wood beads. For instance Tiger Kamagong wood, Tigers Red Eye and Blue aventurine are just some of them.

Attention to detail is key also. Like the quality mahogony wooden box they come displayed in, and the uniquely laser cut SEA PEOPLE disc that comes with each bracelet or neck piece.

Bad Taste (BAD ASS) ROSES TEE

This tee is what you could easily call BAD ASS.

Bad Taste drop this Roses tee. I was a little unsure about it at first, with the slightly off brown or off gold colour. I was just unsure. But our instincts paid off. They pretty much sold out within days.
